I can't start the game... clicking to open the door or press start with any button on mouse or keyboard does nothing...

This is a beautiful game. My only problem is that the object counter doesn't change and I'm a little confused on how that works

You need to take some time when exploring the rooms, but the text is nice to read, so that's no problem. The visual style looks nice too, painted with free hand and all. Audio is very minimal, but works. Overall, the story is interesting and I enjoyed playing.

If you're interested, you could enter this into our contest, the Game Development World Championship!

Thank you so much for the comment. My aim was to have people take their time to explore, which is necessary to find out who was murdered and to discover what clue is of what significance.  I'm happy that you enjoyed the game and my artwork as well! It's actually all digital drawn in Photoshop with nothing but the help of my faithful mouse.

I will look into your contest thank you for recommending it to me.

Thanks for taking interest! I must say that the art looks really good for mouse-drawn.

This was a wonderful story, I was drawn in from the moment of the laboratory. The art style is very unique and gives the player a fresh base for the experience of gaming. Although graphically people have come to a "High FPS Norm" this is fantastically its own! I really enjoyed the old-fashioned tone this game kept throughout the entirety of the game. It removes the player from their own setting and presents a wonderful level of immersion. Although my only critique could be perhaps adding some background music, this is always one with these text based adventure games. Nonetheless I had a wonderful time unraveling the secrets behind this game, and believe anyone with an interest in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, play this awesome game.

Omg thank you so much for taking the time to do this! I was all over the place when I saw your response, you made my day. And thank you for the critique as well, I will try and look into adding background music (it's one of those difficult things with Muse), but it will go on my list!

I'm so happy that you enjoyed the game and my artwork, I put a lot of work and love into this project and seeing people enjoying it just the same is more than I could ask for ;)

I must say this one grabbed my attention as soon as I saw it posted a few days ago, unfortunately my narrator voice was not up to par. Nonetheless, I truly believe this is a gem of the indie community. It was so unique in the fashion which it presented itself. I always enjoy a good text-based adventure game, what really gave this game significance among the rest was the clear passion in the description's artwork of the main character with the chemistry concoctions. You have a flare for the fantastically eerie, I eagerly await your continuation in such a Soulful story. I wish you the best of programming luck!
